Middle East Event Awards.
All LED screen content for the awards night. One master stage world, cut per screen from the audience camera. Royal cobalt glass, gold as the precious metal.
Overview
Look development and creative direction for the Middle East Event Awards 2026 gala: a recolourable stage set with a single glowing ring carrying each award moment.
At a glance
The big idea
One recolourable deep blue and gold set, inspired by the BRIT Awards 2026. A glowing ring device frames each category, each numbered nominee, then the winner. The same base set gets washed a different colour per award, so a hundred award moments come from one scene plus a recolour pass, never a hundred re-renders.
Key constraint
Every screen is a flat LED panel. The drums, the ring and the tiered centre are a 2D anamorphic illusion, not physical structures. Built from the audience camera, the flat panels read as a deep 3D set. So the 3D geometry, placed at the real screen positions, is what makes the illusion line up across the eight screens. Each screen deliverable is a crop of one master stage scene at that screen's pixel map.
The LED screen setup
Eight LED screens, UNILUMIN 2.9mm, square pixels: five upper (S1-S5) over three lower (S6-S8). The centre is S3 at 6 x 5 m. Every layout is built to the exact pixel canvas below and delivered per screen, or as the two combined bands.

mediaPro screen map
V3.0Screen sizes and resolutions, from the mediaPro pixel map (08 Jul).
| Screen | Physical | Resolution (px) |
|---|---|---|
| S1 & S5 | 4 x 4 m | 1344 x 1344 |
| S2 & S4 | 5 x 5 m | 1680 x 1680 |
| S3 · centre | 6 x 5 m | 2016 x 1680 |
| S6 & S8 | 13 x 3 m | 4368 x 1008 |
| S7 · centre low | 8 x 3 m | 2688 x 1008 |
Combined bands: the five uppers deliver as one 8064 x 1680 canvas (S1/S5 black-padded to 1680), the three lowers as one 11424 x 1008 canvas.

The show
The finalized content for the text layouts.
Each category gets a Nominees & Photos layout; reusable assets cover the holding slide, sponsor loop, award backgrounds, hashtag and judges. Sponsor and category-sponsor logos are still to come from the client.
The Look
Inspired by the BRIT Awards 2026 (North House), not copied: a single framing device, a recolour-per-award system, and a clean choreography from category to winner.
The set look, locked
client directionThe client has locked a deep royal-blue and gold direction: a glossy blue stage with a vertical fluted backdrop, dark drum towers ringed in gold on warm gold pedestals, and a central wall of curved shelves carrying rows of gold trophies. Blue dominates, gold is the precious accent. The look-dev in The Lab matches this exactly onto the real stage geometry.
What we borrow, and what is ours
Material & texture references
moodboardThe base + recolour
One deep blue and gold base set. It gets washed per award through an isolated colour pass. The structure never changes, only the wash, so client colour changes are a layer tweak, never a re-render.
Reveal flow
- Home idle loop on the set.
- Category title appears in the ring.
- Presented by sponsor lockup joins.
- Nominees revealed one by one, numbered 1 to 6.
- All nominees shown together.
- Winner transition with trophy and a gold burst.
- Winner look holds for the moment.
Locked Graphics are built in Figma or After Effects, never AI.
AI builds only the stage world: the set, the look, the ambient motion. All typography, logos, and the category, nominee and winner cards are vector and data-driven. That keeps the information layer perfectly crisp and free of AI text artefacts.
The Flow

The direction, confirmed
client review · 16 JulA 3D anamorphic set of rings and cylinders that breaks the flatness of the flat screens. Trophies sit on a central rack; panels rotate to reveal the winner's trophy on announcement. The centre screen joins the surrounding screens as one continuous surface, confirmed against the pixel map, and the stage angle is agreed.
Home look
The home look goes brighter and less corporate: a purple and gold direction that reads premium. Black is ruled out, since the LEDs look dead. Colour is easy to change once the structure is locked, so this is a wash, not a rebuild, and a gradient movement in the loop makes the colour read brighter.
Home look must not repeat
The set holds for four hours or more, so the home look needs variation rather than one identical loop.
Category to winner, screen by screen
- Category the category name and the sponsor logo appear on the centre screen and on the two side cylinders.
- First nominee appears on the centre screen.
- Next nominees as each new nominee is called, the previous one slides to the frosted-glass side panel, stacked as logo and name, up to seven per category.
- All nominees held together across the frosted panels, each with its own logo beside the name.
- Winner a grand, animated reveal. Never the word WINNER spelled out; a graphic or animation carries the moment.
locked The winner moment is a graphic, never a word.
No WINNER text on screen. The reveal should feel dramatic in its own right, carried by a graphic or animation.
The three drums
Sponsor logo, moment by moment
The presented-by lockup stays in its position from category through winner, so it never looks like it is jumping around.
- Category announced logo on the centre screen and the cylinders.
- Nominees running logo stays on the centre screen only. Moving it every nominee is too quick and reads messy.
- Winner announced logo leaves the centre and moves to the cylinders, so it lands in every winner photo and press shot.
The sponsor logo must be clearly visible when the winner photo is taken. Lift it higher where winners and their teams may stand in front of the lower screens. The winner moment is where sponsors get their extra mileage.
Next review
One complete animated flow, start to finish, for approval.
The goal for the next meeting is a single full sequence: the nominee reveal on the frosted glass, the sponsor loop, and the speaker name and photo treatment. Final text sizing is set once the venue floor plan arrives, since table distances drive how large the type needs to be.
